Bring me to your campus! I give talks and facilitate workshops across the country and enjoy working with groups of students, faculty, and staff. I can speak and facilitate sessions on a range of topics; below are some of the areas in which I have particular expertise and experience:

I will work closely with you to ensure that my visit is of maximum assistance to your community, and helps start or advance important conversations around teaching, learning, student success, and social and educational justice. I am comfortable working with not just faculty, but staff and administration as well.
I’m always excited for opportunities to share experiences and perspectives with colleagues. Since Fall, 2021, I’ve given talks and workshops at institutions such as the University of Virginia, Truman State University, the State University of New York (SUNY) System, Vincennes University, Youngstown State University, the University of Wisconsin—Parkside, Kirkwood Community College, Bethel College, Franklin College, Southern Utah University, University of Wisconsin—River Falls, Western Carolina University, Lenoir-Rhyne University, and the University of Wyoming. As of August, 2021, I have resumed in-person campus visits. I am fully vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19, and am more than happy to follow any and all health protocols while I am a guest on your campus. I am also available to facilitate virtual keynotes/sessions/workshops; I am an experienced “virtual presenter” on a variety of platforms, including Zoom, Teams, and Webex.

Kevin Gannon is Director of the Center for the Advancement of Faculty Excellence and Professor of History at Queens University of Charlotte, in North Carolina. He is the author of Radical Hope: A Teaching Manifesto (West Virginia University Press, 2020), and his writing has also appeared in The Chronicle of Higher Education, Vox, CNN, and The Washington Post. In 2016, he appeared in the Oscar-nominated documentary 13th, directed by Ava DuVernay. He is currently working on a project centered around re-imagining intro/survey/gateway courses in higher education.
